Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 45 ripe fresh peaches, washed and diced (pits removed)
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 34 lemons)
  • 24 tablespoons sugar or honey, adjusted to taste
  • 4 cups cold water (divided into 1 cup and 3 cups)
  • Ice cubes, as needed for serving

Optional Ingredients

  • Sprigs of fresh mint for garnish
  • Fresh basil or rosemary for herbal variations
  • Sparkling water to replace cold water for a fizzy option
  • Natural sweeteners like stevia for sugar-free version
  • Vodka or white rum for alcoholic twist

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peaches: Wash and dice the ripe peaches into small chunks, removing all pits. Smaller pieces help extract maximum juice and flavor when blending.
  2. Juice the Lemons: Squeeze fresh lemons until you have about ½ cup of juice, making sure to strain out any seeds to keep your lemonade smooth and bright.
  3. Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine diced peaches, lemon juice, sugar or honey, and 1 cup of cold water. Blend thoroughly until smooth and well combined, creating a vibrant fruity base.
  4. Strain and Mix: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a jug, pressing with a spoon to extract all juices and pulp, resulting in a smooth lemonade.
  5. Add Water and Chill: Stir in the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the strained mixture. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill and let flavors meld.
  6. Serve Over Ice: Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled lemonade over, and garnish with fresh mint sprigs or peach slices if desired.

Notes

  • Use ripe peaches for the sweetest flavor and best natural sweetness.
  • Add sugar or honey gradually to avoid over-sweetening; taste as you go.
  • Straining the blended mixture creates a smooth, pulp-free lemonade.
  • Chill the drink well before serving to enhance flavor and refreshment.
  • Add ice just before serving to prevent dilution.
