Instructions

  1. Prepare and Roll Dough: Start by rolling your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle about 12 by 16 inches. The thickness should be about 1/4 inch to ensure it cooks evenly and pulls apart easily later.
  2. Layer Sauce and Cheese: Spread an even layer of your pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella generously across the top, making sure every pull-apart segment is packed with cheese.
  3. Add Toppings: Distribute pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese layer. If using other toppings, add them now as well so everything bakes perfectly together in the ring.
  4. Roll and Cut Strips: Starting at one long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Use a sharp knife to cut the log into about 12 even slices, each around 1 to 1.5 inches thick.
  5. Arrange in a Ring: Grease a round baking pan and place each slice cut side up in a circular pattern, fitting them snugly together to form a ring. Leave a small gap so the sides can pull apart easily once baked.
  6. Final Touches and Bake: Brush the tops of the dough with olive oil, sprinkle Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning before baking at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
