Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Finely chop the dill pickles and fresh dill if using. Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for smooth blending.
  2. Mix the Creamy Base: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and uniform in texture.
  3. Add Flavorings: Gently fold in the chopped pickles, garlic powder, onion powder, fresh dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix carefully to maintain some texture from the pickles while blending the flavors.
  4. Chill and Serve: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the texture to thicken slightly. Although it can be served immediately, chilling improves the taste.

Notes

  • Use crisp pickles for the best texture, avoiding soggy or watery varieties.
  • Refrigerate the dip before serving to enhance and marry the flavors.
  • If pickles are very tart, balance the dip by adding extra mayonnaise or sour cream.
  • Warm cream cheese slightly in the microwave for 10-15 seconds if it is too firm to mix.
  • Reserve a small portion of chopped pickles to fold in last for added crunch.
