Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (dark, milk, or semi-sweet)
  • 1 cup roasted peanuts (unsalted or lightly salted)

Optional Ingredients

  • Sea salt, a light sprinkle for topping
  • Dried fruit (such as cranberries or raisins)
  • Shredded coconut
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Caramel for drizzling
  • Chia seeds, flaxseeds, or pumpkin seeds for extra nutrition

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Gather and measure the chocolate and peanuts. If using raw or unsalted peanuts, lightly toast them in a dry pan to enhance flavor and crunch.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: Using a double boiler or microwave, gently melt the chocolate until smooth and glossy, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  3. Combine Peanuts and Chocolate: Pour the melted chocolate over the peanuts and stir thoroughly to coat every nut evenly.
  4. Form Clusters: Spoon spoonfuls of the chocolate-peanut mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, shaping them into small clusters that hold together.
  5. Chill Until Set: Refrigerate the clusters for 20-30 minutes or until the chocolate is fully hardened. Optionally sprinkle a little sea salt on top before chilling for added flavor.

Notes

  • Choose quality chocolate for richer flavor.
  • Melt chocolate slowly and carefully to avoid seizing or burning.
  • Use room temperature peanuts for even chocolate coverage.
  • Line trays with parchment or silicone mats for easy removal.
  • Store clusters in a cool place to prevent melting.
