Ingredients

Scale

Meat and Protein

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 8 strips bacon

Dairy and Sauces

  • Ranch dressing (about 1/2 to 3/4 cup)
  • 8 slices mild cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese

Bread and Vegetables

  • 8 slider buns (preferably slightly stale)
  • Lettuce leaves, fresh
  • Tomato slices

Optional Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts or thighs with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook by baking at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes or pan-sear over medium heat until fully cooked and juicy inside. Let cool slightly, then shred the chicken using two forks.
  2. Cook the Bacon: Crisp bacon strips in a skillet or oven until golden and crunchy. Drain on paper towels and break into smaller pieces suitable for sliders.
  3. Assemble the Sliders: Slice slider buns in half horizontally and lay out the bottom halves. Spread a generous amount of ranch dressing on each bun base, then layer shredded chicken and bacon pieces evenly.
  4. Add Cheese and Veggies: Place a slice of cheese on top of the meat mixture, followed by fresh lettuce leaves and tomato slices for added crunch and freshness. Cover each with the top half of the bun.
  5. Bake to Melt: Arrange assembled sliders in a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes until the cheese melts and everything is warmed through. For best results, cover the sliders loosely with foil while baking.

Notes

  • Use day-old slider buns as they hold up better without becoming soggy after baking.
  • Don’t skimp on bacon — its smoky crunch balances the creamy ranch and tender chicken perfectly.
  • For extra flavor, toss shredded chicken with ranch dressing before layering.
  • Layer the cheese under the top bun to help it melt evenly and keep buns from soaking.
  • Cover sliders with foil while baking to keep them warm and moist.
  • Toast buns lightly before assembling to further prevent sogginess.
